Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. It's a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we've lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.

Since 1976, the Chilmark Road Race has been run along beautiful but oh-so-hilly Middle Road. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Town Affairs Council to assist in the operations of the Chilmark Community Center.

Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby: TBA
More than 3,000 folks a year fish our tournament adding hundreds of memories, friendships and fish stories to their lives. The profits derived from the Derby are given back to this Island community through scholarships to its young people and contributions to conservation activities to protect this marvelous island.
