Car:
Drive to Hyannis, MA. Take either the Steamship Authority ferry or the Hy-Line ferry to Nantucket (see below). You can bring a car to the island but we don't recommend it. Click here or see below for information on parking on Cape Cod.
Almost FREE Ferry Parking:
Park your car at the Plymouth and Brockton Park and Ride Lot (Exit 6 off Rt. 6, Lot is on Rt. 132). There is no day or overnight cost for parking your car there. www.p-b.com Take the Plymouth and Brockton Bus to the Hyannis Transportation Center (215 Iyannough Rd., Hyannis) from the lot. The fare is $2.00 and the Transportation Center is just about 2 blocks away from the ferry. The bus runs every hour.
Bus:
For bus service, take the Plymouth and Brockton Bus from South Station in Boston and get off at the Hyannis Transportation Center. Take a short free shuttle ride to either the Hy-Line ferry or the Steamship Authority to Nantucket (see below).
Plane:
Fly into Nantucket Memorial Airport and take the Nantucket Shuttle or a taxi to the hostel.
From Nantucket Village:
The hostel is 3 1/2 miles from the Nantucket ferry wharf. Go up Main St., take left on Orange St. and then a right on E. York St. (at Bake Shop). Bear left onto Atlantic Ave., which becomes Surfside Rd. Stay on Surfside Rd. for 2 miles. At the beach go right, onto Western Ave.
